Help Center

Everything you need to know to get the most out of Rippelle.

🔐 First Login & Account Setup

After purchasing a plan (via vendor or by paying Rippelle Resident in-world), you will receive an access key that looks like: RIP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

  1. Go to rippelle.com
  2. Click "First time? Activate account"
  3. Enter your Second Life avatar name (exactly as it appears in-world)
  4. Enter your access key
  5. Create a password (minimum 8 characters)
  6. You're in! Welcome to your dashboard.
💡 Your access key works once only. After setting your password, use your avatar name + password to log in.

🏠 Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard is your control center. It has three main tabs:

  • Dashboard — Your brand settings, connected platforms, post history, and sub-accounts.
  • Schedule (Pro & Pro+) — Create, schedule, and manage custom posts.
  • Wallet — Your balance, subscription, auto-renew settings, brands, and transaction history.

🎨 Setting Up Your Brand

Your brand identity is used to format all your posts across platforms.

What to configure:

  • Brand name — Your shop or business name
  • Tagline — A short description (e.g. "French-style furniture for Second Life")
  • Logo URL — A direct link to your logo image (hosted on Flickr, your blog, etc.)
  • Website URL — Your blog or marketplace link
  • Brand color — Used for auto-generated images (see Smart Image Handling)
💡 You can update your brand info at any time from the Dashboard tab. Changes apply to future posts immediately.

⏸️ Pause & Activate Posting

New accounts start with posting paused. This gives you time to set up your brand, connect your sources and destinations, and make sure everything is right before going live.

  • Click ▶️ Activate in your dashboard header when you're ready to start posting.
  • Click ⏸ Pause anytime to stop all automatic and scheduled posting.
⚠️ While paused, no content will be posted — not even scheduled posts. They will wait until you activate again.

📷 Content Sources

Sources are where Rippelle pulls your content from. When you publish a new photo or blog post, Rippelle detects it automatically and distributes it to your connected platforms.

You configure your source from the Brand Configuration card on your Dashboard.

Flickr

Rippelle monitors your Flickr photostream for new uploads.

  1. In Brand Configuration, select Flickr as your source.
  2. Enter your Flickr User ID (looks like: 12345678@N00).
  3. Save. Rippelle will now check your photostream for new photos.
💡 To find your Flickr User ID, go to idGettr and paste your Flickr profile URL.

Getting your Flickr API Key

Rippelle needs a Flickr API key to read your photostream. Each user must create their own — it's free and takes just a minute.

  1. Go to Flickr App Garden — Apply for a key.
  2. Sign in with your Flickr account if needed.
  3. Choose "Apply for a Non-Commercial Key".
  4. Enter any name (e.g. Rippelle) and a short description (e.g. For use with Rippelle social media automation).
  5. Check both checkboxes and submit.
  6. Copy the Key shown on the next page (you only need the Key, not the Secret).
  7. Paste it in your Rippelle Brand Configuration under Flickr API Key.
⚠️ Each Flickr account must create its own API key. You cannot share or reuse someone else's key.

WordPress

Rippelle pulls posts from your WordPress RSS feed.

  1. Select WordPress as your source.
  2. Enter your blog URL (e.g. https://myblog.com).
  3. Pro+ users: you can add up to 5 category feeds to choose which sections to pull from.
  4. Save. Rippelle will monitor your RSS feed for new posts.

Blogspot (Blogger)

  1. Select Blogspot as your source.
  2. Enter your blog URL (e.g. https://myblog.blogspot.com).
  3. Save. Rippelle will monitor your Blogspot feed.

Weebly

  1. Select Weebly as your source.
  2. Enter your Weebly blog URL.
  3. Save.

Webhook (Advanced)

For advanced users: push content directly to Rippelle via a webhook URL. Useful for custom integrations or automated workflows.

  1. Select Webhook as your source.
  2. Rippelle will generate a unique webhook URL for you.
  3. Send a POST request to that URL with your content (title, description, image URL).

📣 Destination Platforms

Destinations are where Rippelle posts your content. You can connect multiple platforms and Rippelle will format your content appropriately for each one.

Manage your connections from the Platform Connections card on your Dashboard.

Discord

Post to one or more Discord channels via webhooks.

  1. In your Discord server, go to Channel Settings → Integrations → Webhooks.
  2. Click New Webhook, give it a name, and copy the webhook URL.
  3. In Rippelle, add Discord as a destination and paste the webhook URL.
  4. You can add multiple webhooks to post to several servers or channels at once.

Post to your Facebook Page automatically.

  1. Click Connect Facebook in your destinations.
  2. You'll be redirected to Facebook to authorize Rippelle.
  3. Select the Page you want Rippelle to post to.
  4. Grant the required permissions and confirm.
⚠️ Facebook Pages only. Rippelle cannot post to personal profiles. If you don't have a Page for your brand, create one on Facebook first.

Instagram

Post to your Instagram business/creator account.

  1. Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account.
  2. It must be linked to a Facebook Page (this is a Meta requirement).
  3. Connect Facebook first (see above), then select your Instagram account.
💡 If your post has no image or an incorrectly sized image, Rippelle will auto-generate a branded image. See Smart Image Handling.

Bluesky

  1. Add Bluesky as a destination.
  2. Enter your Bluesky handle (e.g. yourname.bsky.social).
  3. Enter your App Password (generate one in Bluesky → Settings → App Passwords).
  4. Save.
💡 Never use your main Bluesky password. Always create a dedicated App Password for Rippelle.

  4. Enter the group UUID of the SL group you want to send notices to.

  2. Add LifeBots as a destination.
  3. Enter your LifeBots API key and bot name.
  4. Enter the group UUID.
  5. Save.

Flickr Upload & Groups

Post photos directly to your Flickr account from the scheduler — and automatically add them to your Flickr groups based on tags.

Connecting Flickr Upload

  1. Go to Destinations and click Flickr Upload.
  2. Click Connect Flickr — you'll be redirected to Flickr to authorize Rippelle.
  3. Once authorized, Flickr Upload will show as connected.

Flickr Groups — Auto-posting by tag

Once Flickr Upload is connected, you can set up group rules. Each rule links a tag to a Flickr group. When you post with that tag, Rippelle automatically submits the photo to the matching group.

  1. Click Manage Group Rules in the Flickr Upload settings.
  2. For each group, enter a tag (e.g. furniture) and the Flickr Group ID.
  3. Save. When you post from the scheduler with that tag, the photo is automatically added to the group.

How to find a Flickr Group ID

The Group ID is not shown directly on Flickr's website, but there are two easy ways to find it:

  • Method 1 — idGettr: Go to idGettr.com, paste the full URL of the Flickr group (e.g. https://www.flickr.com/groups/slarchitecture/) and click Find the ID. The Group ID will look like 12345678@N00.
  • Method 2 — Flickr URL: Go to the group's page on Flickr, look at the URL. If it contains a numeric ID like flickr.com/groups/12345678@N00/, that's your Group ID directly.
💡 You can add as many group rules as you want. Use tags like furniture, sl-decor, fameshed etc. to route your posts to the right communities automatically.
⚠️ If Flickr is your source and you also post to Flickr as a destination, Rippelle will warn you of a potential loop — the photo you post to Flickr may be detected as new content and re-posted to all your platforms. Only do this intentionally.

🔄 Automatic Posting

This is Rippelle's core feature — set it and forget it.

  1. Configure your source (Flickr, WordPress, etc.).
  2. Connect your destinations (Discord, Facebook, etc.).
  3. Make sure posting is activated (the ▶️ button in your dashboard header).
  4. Whenever you upload a new photo to Flickr or publish a blog post, Rippelle will detect it and post it to all your connected platforms automatically.
💡 Rippelle checks for new content regularly. New posts typically appear on your platforms within 15 minutes of publishing.

📅 Post Scheduler Pro & Pro+

Create custom posts directly from your dashboard, independently of your content source.

Creating a post

  1. Go to the Schedule tab.
  2. Write a title and description.
  3. Upload up to 4 images (paste image URLs).
  4. Select which platforms to send to (or select all).
  5. Choose a date and time (in SLT / Pacific Time).
  6. Click Schedule.

Options

🖼️ Smart Image Handling

Some platforms (especially Instagram) require images. Rippelle handles this automatically:

You can pick your brand color using the color picker on the Dashboard, in the Brand Configuration card.

💡 This only applies when needed (mainly for Instagram). If you have a proper image, it will be used as-is on all platforms.

💰 Wallet & Subscriptions

Rippelle uses a wallet system. You deposit Linden Dollars (L$) into your wallet, then manage your subscription from your dashboard.

Adding credits

Credits are added to your wallet automatically. Any amount that doesn't match a plan price goes directly to your wallet balance.

From the Wallet tab you can:

🎟️ Promo Codes

Promo codes give you free months of a Rippelle plan — no L$ needed. You may receive one during promotional events, from a giveaway, or from the Rippelle community.

How to redeem a promo code

  1. Log in to your Rippelle dashboard at rippelle.com.
  2. Click the 💰 Wallet button in the top bar to open the Wallet tab.
  3. Scroll down to the 🎟️ Promo Code card.
  4. Type your code in the field — it will automatically convert to uppercase.
  5. Press Apply or hit Enter.

If the code is valid, your subscription will be activated or extended immediately and you'll see a confirmation message in green.

Good to know

💡 Promo codes are different from the EARLYBIRD pricing on the in-world vendors. Vendor pricing is automatic — promo codes are redeemed manually here in the dashboard.

🏷️ Multi-Brand Management Pro+ only

If you run multiple businesses or shops, you can manage them all from a single Rippelle login.

👥 Team Members Pro+ only

Delegate access to your Rippelle account by inviting trusted managers (community managers, partners, assistants). Each manager has their own Rippelle login — no password sharing.

Granting access (you, the brand owner)

  1. Go to Settings → Team in your Workspace.
  2. Click Generate code. You get an invite code formatted as RPL-XXXXXX.
  3. Share it privately with your trusted person (Discord, IM, Plurk).
  4. The code is one-time use and expires in 7 days.

Joining as a manager

  1. You need your own Rippelle account (any plan works, even Free).
  2. Go to Settings → Join a brand in your Workspace.
  3. Paste the invite code and confirm. The brand appears in your sidebar switcher.
  4. Click the brand name in the switcher to act on its behalf — a banner reminds you at the top of every page.
